Reality TV is NOT always miguided!!

Hello everyone,

Happy Halloween! Hope you had a fab time!

So....when i get some time off my busy schedule of school and work, i take some time to catch up on my fave shows. Now, i keep hearing many of my friends and acquaintances discouraging me from watching reality tv...apparently, its not "educative" and they are all full of "nothing". With all of this discouraging input, this doesnt stop me from enjoying my shows.

Now....i dont want to make it seem like am trashy like some of the characters that act in these shows. There are tons of lessons that I, personally have learnt from watching many of these characters develop.

When I watch these shows, I focus on the big picture. When these shows are thought out and developed, its not only entertainment that is the expected outcome, but hopefully some of the audience can learn from some of these characters' experiences. One of my big favourites is the Tiny and Toya show. I love these ladies so much. They both have such strong characters that have been an inspiration to me. Behind that glamour and fab life, there is a lot of pain and reality that they have to deal with. On the other end of the spectrum, there are shows like The Hills and The City that seem like "plain garbage"; but i beg to differ...these two shows visibly have more drama than anything else, but my major reason for watching these shows is to discover more about people's personalities, whether they are on or off screen. As much as it could be scripted, its clear that there is something (small or vast) to pick from these shows.

Well, well, i have gone on too much in this post, but I would really appreciate some feedback.

Do you think reality tv is just trash that doesnt deserve any airtime?

Have a fab rest of the weekend.

Martha
