Being understood is almost like a badge of honour

I would doubt the one person that comes to me and tells me that he/she has never been misunderstood. We all have been tossed that wrath in our direction and fortunately for each and every soul walking this earth, there's not much that one can do about it; only keep doing you.

A lesson that i continuously need to figure out every time I fall out with one of my friends. Even with the beau, it's a reaction that is bound to happen in the relationship; otherwise y'all are pulling some fake ass stunts (for a lack of a better phrase)

A lot of times, I stop to think that we are so engrossed in getting people to understand us, yet really, they are not willing to go through the step by step process that we've gone through to end up at the very decision that we are caught up in. Ummm...that's a given.

So, in a bid to be more comfortable, what about I just keep doing me, figure out "stuff" at my own pace, without posing for attention or seeking the approval that we, as humans are so eager to receive.

Thus the conclusion, being understood is almost like a badge of honour. For as long as i keep walking this earth, i'm still on the hunt for that one soul that can tell me that they have NEVER been misunderstood. (Side thought: even our family that love us dearly will probably consist of the individuals that have probably never understood you, or even attempted to)

Just an afternoon thought that was itching to be out...

Carpe diem!
