"Women...submit to your husbands"

I believe there are two instances that this statement directly shows up in the World's best-seller, the Bible. 

Quite frankly, the word, "submit" is what probably throws me off the whole verse. 

From what I've researched, the definition of "submit' encompasses yielding yourself to the authority of another. 

I'm not going to be the human evil against a book that has been around for generations, but women should not naively put themselves in such situations where they're putting their partners on pedestals of submission. As subtle as i can probably put this, each and every being on this earth has a will of their own, and not even one soul should assume that they're subject to "giving in"

If your partner's will is for you not to go to grad school, and you bring in the notion (yes, i called it a notion) that you (if you're a woman) should submit... <> - Get an education, if that's your will; because nothing bites hard like regret.
