Peeve alert!!

It's been a month or so that I have been back home in Uganda and there are a few things that I need to get used to; one of which is the much slower customer service.

As I write this post, I'm seated at a cafe (which will remain un-named) and I've been trying to get the attention of one of the waitresses for the past fifteen minutes or so. Now, I may very well not be the world's most patient customer but all I can say is that this time around I have my macbook to keep me distracted as well as my daughter. I don't mind the waiting; but when it comes to fulfilling a customer's needs, it's important for the service provider to realize that communication is key. The sort of communication that I am talking about is for example letting me know that she's busy and she'll get to me when she's a little less overwhelmed. That's it. It takes minimal energy and both parties don't feel burdened with obligations.

That's my rant for the day.
