It's been a minute since I jotted something down...took a brief hiatus off this platform.
So the title of my post is a little off, but give me a couple of minutes to acquaint you further with my train of thought.
Damaged goods???? I'm referring to those of us that fit in the calibre of "fucked up" people. Hmmm...yup...I can't rephrase it in a subtle manner to pass my message across effectively...
Wait...so long as you're human...you sure do have a bit of damage that has occurred to you...and in this case, I mean emotional damage. (can you tell the pattern in my posts??...lol) Anyhow, my point being that emotional damage can sometimes leave you for dead, you can pick up the pieces, or you can pretend that you are a tough cookie. Nevertheless, we all seem to go through some sort of emotional healing.
So, my point being that, when people approach me to get to know me better; I almost want them to see the less-than-invisible sign of "DAMAGED". The move...stay clear!!! Yup...I mean the individual can choose to dive right in and ignore that...or take careful strides into my life...or take a backseat and just end the relationship right there, in other words, stay clear.
What if we all had to walk around with a "badge of honour" of sorts, describing our emotional state generally?? How would the patterns of socialization change knowing that each and everyone had one word describing their state and didn't have to work as hard to even discover that?
So many times, when I meet someone, I have the habit of overly studying the emotional makeup of this person; see the way they interact and observe their general behaviour....and it's interesting some of the people that I have encountered.
*Side note* - This post is muddled...Beware!!!
Adios!
